The Providence Bruins fell to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Saturday night 4-2, ending their season-high 12 game point streak. The P-Bruins got goals from Emil Johansson and Cameron Hughes while Dan Vladar made his 20th start of the season in net.

The Providence Bruins defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 2-1 Friday night to push their point streak up to 12 games. The P-Bruins got goals from Jordan Szwarz and Connor Clifton while Zane McIntyre made his 29th start of the season in net.

P-BRUINS WEEK IN REVIEW: 1/31/19 – 2/6/19

The Providence Bruins faced a difficult challenge last weekend, going on the road for a pair of games with the AHL’s top team. The P-Bruins and Charlotte Checkers came back from the All-Star break and met for two games in an Atlantic Division battle. It took overtime in each tilt, but Providence swept Charlotte to jump into third place in the division. It is the highest rank of the season for the P-Bruins, who are now 24-16-6-1 with 55 points.

The Providence Bruins defeated the Charlotte Checkers in overtime Saturday night 1-0, extending their point streak to a season-high 11 games. The P-Bruins got their only goal from Gemel Smith while Dan Vladar made his 19th start of the season in net.

The Providence Bruins defeated the Charlotte Checkers in overtime Friday night 2-1 in their first game back from the All-Star break. The P-Bruins got goals from Ryan Donato and Cameron Hughes while Zane McIntyre made his 28th start of the season in net.

The Providence Bruins are in the middle of their All-Star Break, but for the first time all season can boast one of the four playoff spots in the Atlantic Division. The P-Bruins won both of their games this weekend against division foes, taking all four possible points in the standings. They are riding a season-best nine-game point streak and sit in fourth place at 22-16-6-1 and 51 points

P-BRUINS WEEK IN REVIEW: 1/18/19 – 1/24/19

The month of January has been kind to the Providence Bruins, and last weekend was no exception. The team took five of a possible six points in their three games and for the month have earned 14 of 18 points in the standings. Riding a seven-game point streak, the P-Bruins have jumped up to fifth place in the Atlantic Division with a record of 20-16-6-1 and 47 points. With the All-Star break fast-approaching and plenty of games within the division left, Providence will remain in the thick of things down to the final days of the year

SZWARZ NAMED TO 2019 AHL ALL-STAR CLASSIC ROSTER

The American Hockey League announced today that Providence Bruins forward Jordan Szwarz has been named to the 2019 Lexus AHL All-Star Classic roster. Szwarz will replace teammate Ryan Fitzgerald, who is out with an upper body injury, on the All-Star roster. Szwarz currently leads the team with 14 goals and will be making first appearance at the AHL All-Star Classic.
