SWAYMAN STANDS TALL AS P-BRUINS WIN REGULAR SEASON OPENER, 4-1

MARLBOROUGH, MA. - Samuel Asselin and Alex-Olivier Voyer each recorded their first career AHL goals, while Jeremy Swayman recorded 26 saves on 27 shots in his first career AHL win, as the Providence Bruins defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 4-1, on Friday afternoon. The win marks the first victory of the 2020-21 campaign for Providence, who will play in 26 games this season. Jack Ahcan recorded his first career AHL point with an assist, while Jakub Lauko picked up two helpers of his own in the victory. Providence outshot Bridgeport by a count of 31-27.

MARLBOROUGH, MA. - Dan Vladar recorded 20 saves on 22 shots, but the Providence Bruins were unable to find the back of the net on Thursday afternoon, resulting in a 4-0 loss to the Hartford Wolf Pack. After leading by one heading into the third period, Hartford scored the second goal of the game and added two empty-net goals to seal the victory. Providence outshot Hartford, 25-24. The P-Bruins were 0-for-2 on the power play and 1-for-3 on the penalty kill.

BRIDGEPORT, CT. - Jakub Lauko recorded three points and Cameron Hughes collected two points of his own as the Providence Bruins defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 5-3, on Saturday afternoon. After trailing by one at the end of the second period, Providence scored three unanswered goals in the third to seal its second victory against Bridgeport this season. Providence went three-for-seven on the power play and two-for- two on the penalty kill while outshooting Bridgeport by a count of 29-20.

BRIDGEPORT, CT. - Zach Senyshyn scored the game-winning goal with 5:38 remaining in the game and Dan Vladar recorded a 24-save shutout as the Providence Bruins defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 1-0, on Friday afternoon. The shutout is the first of the season for the P-Bruins, who outshot Bridgeport by a count of 37-24. Providence went 3-for-3 on the penalty kill and 0-for-5 on the power play. The win marks the second consecutive victory for the P-Bruins after defeating Bridgeport last Saturday.

HARTFORD, CT. - The Providence Bruins got goals from five separate skaters and won their third consecutive game on Sunday, defeating the Hartford Wolf Pack, 5-2. In total, ten players collected at least one point for the P-Bruins with Samuel Asselin, Paul Carey, and Brady Lyle all recording multi-point games. Jeremy Swayman picked up his third win of the season, recording 34 saves on 36 shots. The P-Bruins went 0-for-2 on the power play, but 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
