Providence Bruins Fall to Charlotte Checkers In Shootout, 3-2

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Zach Senyshyn scored his team-leading 19th goal of the season and Chris Wagner forced overtime with a third period tally, but the Providence Bruins fell to the Charlotte Checkers in the shootout, 3-2, on Saturday night. The P-Bruins outshot the Checkers for the second straight game by a count of 40-34. Providence went three-for-three on the penalty kill, but zero-for-three on the power play.

- Zach Senyshyn scored the first goal for the P-Bruins, his team-leading 19th goal of the year.

- Justin Brazeau picked up his 10th assist of the season with the primary helper on Senyshyn’s goal.

- Samuel Asselin recorded an assist for the second consecutive game, his 20th helper of the year.

- Chris Wagner scored the game-tying goal in the third period, his 10th goal of the season.

- Jesper Froden recorded his 16th helper of the year with the primary assist on Wagner’s goal.
