Eight Game Road Trip Wraps Up Sunday in Rochester
Winnipeg, MTB - The Providence Bruins fell to the Manitoba Moose 2-0 Saturday evening at the MTS Centre. The P-Bruins wrap up their eight game road trip Sunday against the Rochester Americans at the Blue Cross Arena at 6:05 p.m. After a scoreless opening period, the Moose took a 1-0 advantage with seven seconds left in the second period, while on the power play. Jason Krog tallied his 22nd goal of the season, with Dylan Yeo and Shaun Heshka recording the assists. Manitoba went into the second intermission leading 1-0. Manitoba added an insurance goal at the 5:35 mark of the third period. Michael Grabner netted his 24th goal of the season, while Guillaume Desbiens and Krog picked up the assists. Manitoba went on to the 2-0 victory. Kevin Regan stopped 27 of 29 shots for the P-Bruins, while Cory Schneider made 29 saves for the Moose. The P-Bruins were 0-for-8 on the power play and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
