Providence Bruins General Manager Evan Gold announced today, October 13, that the Providence Bruins have loaned defenseman Loke Johansson to the Maine Mariners.

Forward Fabian Lysell scored three goals, including two in the third period, and added an assist to lead the Providence Bruins past the Charlotte Checkers 6-3 in the home opener on Sunday evening at the Amica Mutual Pavilion.

Forward Matej Blumel netted the game-winning goal in overtime and added an assist, while Georgii Merkulov notched a goal and two assists in the Providence Bruins’ 3-2 overtime victory over the Bridgeport Islanders in the season opener at Total Mortgage Arena on Saturday night.

The Providence Bruins fell 2-1 in overtime to the Springfield Thunderbirds at the MassMutual Center on Sunday evening to close out the preseason. 

The Providence Bruins topped the Springfield Thunderbirds 4-0 on Friday night at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in the first of two preseason contests this weekend.
