The second place Providence Bruins (17-5-0-0) hit the road for a three-game trip to Hershey and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The P-Bruins will face off with the Hershey Bears (12-8-1-0) on Wednesday and Friday at the Giant Center, before heading to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to take on the Penguins (17-5-1-0) at Mohegan Arena. The P-Bruins dropped the lone contest against the Bears this season at home and have split two games with the Penguins thus far.

Providence’s two games at Hershey this week will be the only two matchups at the Giant Center this season. The Bruins fell 2-0 to the Bears at the Amica Mutual Pavilion back on November 1st, when Simon Zajicek stopped 27 of 28 shots faced, but Garin Bjorklund recorded a 25-save shutout.

Captain Patrick Brown has continued his incredible start to the 2025-26 season. The forward is tied for the team lead with 10 goals and leads the team with 13 assists and 23 points. Brown also leads the team with four power play tallies. The Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, native netted his 10th goal of the season in last Saturday’s 4-3 overtime victory at Springfield.

Fabian Lysell has continuously found the scoresheet this season as well. The forward is tied with Brown for the team lead in goals (10) and ranks second among active players with 10 assists. Lysell’s 20 points are good for second on the team as well. The Gothenburg, Sweden, native also found the back of the net in the 4-3 overtime win at Springfield on Saturday.

Christian Wolanin, freshly signed to a one-year AHL contract, has made a massive impact to start his season in Providence. The defenseman posted seven points in six games on a professional tryout contract, including scoring the overtime winning goal in the win over Springfield. The Quebec, Quebec, native then posted an assist in his first game on a full contract.

The Hershey Bears are led by Ilya Protas, who has 10 goals and 10 assists through 21 games this season. Andrew Cristall totals three goals and 14 assists for 17 points. With Clay Stevenson recalled by Washington, Garin Bjorklund is their active goaltending leader with a 3.01 goals against average and a .895 save percentage along with a 4-4-1 record.
