Hershey, PA – Forward Mikey Eyssimont netted his second hat trick in four games this season to power the Providence Bruins past the Hershey Bears 6-1 on Sunday evening at the Giant Center. Brian Halonen posted a goal and two assists, while Jordan Harris and Tobie Paquette-Bisson each recorded two assists. Goaltender Jiri Patera stopped 27 shots to earn the victory.

How It Happened

  • Eyssimont walked the puck into the right circle on a 2-on-1 and fired a wrist shot inside the far post to give the P-Bruins a 1-0 lead 4:29 into the first period. Halonen was credited with an assist.

  • Jake Schmaltz one-timed a feed from the bottom of the left circle into the upper-right corner of the net to extend the Providence lead to 2-0 with 3:34 remaining in the first period. Ryan Tattle and Paquette-Bisson received the assists.

  • Eyssimont received a feed in the low slot, kicked it to his stick, and chipped it inside the right post for a power play goal to give the P-Bruins a 3-0 lead with 12:19 to play in the second frame. Lukas Reichel and Ivan Ivan were credited with the assists.

  • From above the crease, Eyssimont redirected a feed into the back of the net for his third goal of the game to give Providence a 4-0 lead with 41 seconds left in the second period. Paquette-Bisson and Harris received the assists.

  • Brendan Gaunce snapped a shot off a loose puck in the low slot into the upper-right corner of the net to extend the P-Bruins’ lead to 5-0 just 1:29 into the third period. Alex Steeves and Halonen were credited with the assists.

  • Joey Anderson scored on the power play to cut the Providence lead to 5-1 with 7:24 remaining in the third period.

  • Halonen skated the puck on the rush into the left circle and fired a wrist shot under the cross bar to make it 6-1 P-Bruins with 2:55 to play in the third frame. Harris and Navrin Mutter were credited with the assists.
