VATRANO NAMED CCM/AHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Providence, RI - Providence Bruin left wing Frankie Vatrano has been named the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending March 6th.

Vatrano scored five goals and tallied an assist for five points over Providence’s three games between March 4th-March 6th, including the overtime game-winner on Sunday March 6th against the Portland Pirates. Sunday also marked the third AHL hat trick for Vatrano. All three goals were unassisted, the third time in AHL history for three unassisted goals to be scored in a single game.

Vatrano now totals 29 goals, 12 assists for 41 points across 28 games - good enough for most goals of any skater in the AHL.

He adds this accolade to his previous awards of CCM/AHL Rookie of the Month in the month of October and the CCM/AHL Player of the week for the period ending October 11th, 2015.
