STOLARZ'S STEADY PLAY DEFEATS THE P-BRUINS, 3-1

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Despite outshooting the Phantoms in the third period, the Providence Bruins were unable to rally and finished the weekend 1-1 against Lehigh.

Seth Griffith scored the P-Bruins’ lone goal of the game 2 minutes into the second period to tie the game 1-1. Griffith took advantage of a 2 on 1 situation with a nifty toe drag and found the back of the net. Alex Khokhlachev was credited with the assist.

The P-Bruins were uncharacteristically zero for four on power play opportunities, with all shots swallowed up by Phantoms goaltender Anthony Stolarz, who finished the night with 22 saves.

Lehigh guaranteed the win scoring an empty-netter with under 30 seconds left in regulation play.

The P-Bruins are back in action against the Portland Pirates Friday, October 30th, for the annual Pink in the Rink night presented by Bank Rhode Island at the Dunk.
