With a helper from Lee Stempniak, Steven Kampfer potted his first goal of the season on a deflection in front to tie the score 1-1. The Marlies struggled to keep up as Providence tallied a second goal at 12:33 by Stempniak with an assist by Gemel Smith. He snapped his first goal of the season by Michael Hutchinson and the P-Bruins took a 2-1 lead going into the third period.

Providence extended their lead only 5 minutes into the third period when Anton Blidh scored his 8th goal of the season, with a helper from Kampfer. At 2:23 Toronto pulled Hutchinson from the net at a last ditch effort, but ultimately fell 3-1 to Providence at the end of the 3rd period.

McIntyre stopped 25 shots while Hutchinson 17 stopped shots. Providence was 0/1 on the power play and 4-5 on the penalty kill. The P-Bruins are back at the Dunk on tomorrow Saturday February 16th when they take on the Charlotte Checkers at 8:05pm.
