Springfield, MA - The AHL Board of Governors has announced a new Division Alignment and rules for the 2016-17 season. The Providence Bruins  remain in the Atlantic Division with Bridgeport, Hartford, Hershey, Lehigh Valley, Springfield, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The Arizona Coyote’s affiliate has relocated from Springfield, MA to Tuscon, AZ and the Florida Panthers affiliate has relocated from Portland, ME to Springfield, MA.

Changes in rules include fighting, game misconducts, icing, and ice cleaning. Players engaging in a fight immediately following puck drop for face off will be given a player misconduct. Players who incur 10 fighting majors will be suspended for one game.
