Group Includes Centers Wacey Rabbit and Levi Nelson

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, the 2007-08 regular season champions of the American Hockey League, today announced that the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League have assigned four players to the P-Bruins, including forwards Levi Nelson and Wacey Rabbit, defenseman Scott Fletcher and goaltender Kevin Nastiuk. All four will participate in Providence's training camp, beginning later this month.

Rabbit, 21, is coming off of his first full season as a professional, tallying 26 points, including nine goals and 17 assists, in 66 games. He also added his first two career playoff goals in four contests. In 2006-07, the native of Lethbridge, Alberta, recorded three points in 22 games for Providence before going back to juniors, where he won a Memorial Cup championship with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League. While in Vancouver, Rabbit earned 36 points (11g, 25a) in 30 regular season games before adding 20 points (11g, 9a) in 22 postseason contests. Prior to turning pro, the center played parts of five seasons for the Saskatoon Blades, also of the WHL, where he captained the club in 2005-06. The third-year pro was drafted by Boston 154th overall in round five of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Nelson, 20, returns to Providence after spending parts of the last two seasons on the P-Bruins roster as an amateur addition. The center last played a professional game late in the 2006-07 campaign, appearing in one regular season contest and four playoff games, notching one goal. Drafted by Boston 158th overall in the sixth round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Nelson is coming off of his best of three full junior seasons in the WHL. The pivot recorded career-highs with 25 goals, 36 assists, 61 points and 152 penalty minutes in 67 games for the Swift Current Broncos before adding 15 points, including seven goals, in 12 postseason contests. Overall, Nelson registered 152 points (65g, 87a) in 198 career WHL games over parts of four seasons with the Broncos, where he finished as Swift Current's Rookie of the Year in his first full year and led the team in scoring in his second. A native of Calgary, Alberta, Nelson finished 2007-08 with 20 multiple-point outings and nine point-streaks of at least three games.

Fletcher, 20, has played parts of the last four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, primarily with the Saginaw Spirit and most recently for the Niagara IceDogs. Last year, the undrafted blue-liner from Haslett, Michigan, appeared in 44 games for Niagara, registering one assist while compiling 153 PIM. In his junior career, Fletched tallied one goal and six assists while adding 516 PIM in 181 contests.

Nastiuk, 23, was selected 126th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in round four of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Since, the netminder has enjoyed three pro seasons split between the AHL and ECHL. In 2007-08, the native of Edmonton, Alberta, went 6-5-2 with a 2.44 goals-against-average for the Florida Everblades while adding a 4-1-0 mark and 2.31 GAA for the AHL's Albany River Rats. In his AHL career, Nastiuk is 5-8-3 in 16 games for Albany and the Lowell Lock Monsters. Meanwhile, the goaltender has posted a 36-17-10 career ECHL record between Florida and the Las Vegas Wranglers. Prior to turning pro, Natiuk played four seasons for the WHL's Medicine Hat Tigers, winning 40 games in 2003-04 en route to a WHL championship and an appearance in the Memorial Cup.
