Back At The Dunk Sunday vs. Springfield Falcons

The Providence Bruins fell to the Lowell Devils 3-1 Friday evening at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The P-Bruins got their goal from Vladimir Sobotka. The P-Bruins are back at home at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday versus the Springfield Falcons at 4:05 p.m. for Matt Lashoff Poster Night.

The Devils took a 1-0 advantage at the 7:01 mark. Alexander Vasyunov netted his eighth goal of the season, with Anssi Salmela getting the lone assist. Lowell took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

In the second period, the Devils went up 2-0 at the 6:28 mark. Brad Mills tallied his second goal of the season, while Chad Wiseman recorded the lone assist. Providence pulled within a goal at the 12:21 mark. Martin St. Pierre sent the puck from the left boards towards the front of the net for Martins Karsums. He tipped the puck to Sobotka, who scored his tenth goal of the season. Lowell led 2-1 going into the second intermission.

Lowell took a 3-1 lead at the 9:37 mark of the third period. Wiseman netted his seventh goal of the season with Jon DiSalvatore picking up the lone assist.

Tuukka Rask stopped 26 of 29 shots for the P-Bruins, while Jeff Frazee made 23 saves for the Devils. The P-Bruins were 1-for-3 on the power play and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.
