P-BRUINS WINNING STREAK SNAPPED AT FOUR

The Monarchs took a 1-0 lead 40 seconds into the opening period. Justin Johnson tallied his first goal of the season, while Marc-Andre Cliche and J.D. Watt recorded the assists. Manchester led 1-0 going into the first intermission.
Manchester made it 2-0 at the 6:00 mark of the second period. Linden Vey netted his eighth goal of the season, while Thomas Hickey picked up the lone assist. Providence pulled within a goal at the 8:52 mark. Craig Cunningham had the puck in the neutral zone and fed it to Hennessy who was breaking through two Monarchs defenseman. Hennessy slipped the puck into the net for his tenth goal of the season. Manchester retook a two-goal advantage at the 11:42 mark. Robbie Czarnik scored his second goal of the season, while Brandon Kozun had the lone assist. The Monarchs made it 4-1 at the 19:26 mark, while on the power play. Watt tallied his first goal of the season, with Vey and Andrew Campbell getting the assists. Manchester led 4-1 going into the second intermission.
After a scoreless third period Manchester went onto the 4-1 victory.
Anton Khudobin stopped 23 of 27 shots for the P-Bruins, while Martin Jones made 30 saves for the Monarchs. The P-Bruins were 0-for-8 on the power play and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
