P-BRUINS FALL TO ADMIRALS 3-2

Back at The Dunk Friday vs. Connecticut

Norfolk, VA - The Providence Bruins fell to the Norfolk Admirals 3-2 Saturday evening at the Norfolk Scope.  The P-Bruins got their goals from Josh Hennessy and Craig Cunningham.  The P-Bruins are back at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday for BankRI Rally Towel Night at 7:05 p.m. against the Connecticut Whale.

After a scoreless opening period, the P-Bruins took a 1-0 lead at the 11:35 mark of the second period.  Matt Bartkowski carried the puck up the ice and passed it off to Jamie Arniel.  He found Hennessy cutting into the zone.  Hennessy blasted a shot into the net from the top of the left faceoff circle for his sixth goal of the season.  Norfolk tied the game at one at the 16:32 mark.  Pierre-Cedric Labrie tallied his fifth goal of the season, while Radko Gudas and Mike Angelidis recorded the assists.  The game went into the second intermission tied at one.

The Admirals took a 2-1 lead at the 9:59 mark of the third period.  Richard Panik netted his third goal of the season, while James Wright and Ondrej Palat picked up the assists.  Norfolk made it 3-1 at the 12:40 mark.  Wright scored his first goal of the season, while Panik and Palat had the assists.  Providence pulled within a goal at the 19:46 mark.  Arniel won the faceoff and sent the pack to the point for Bartkowski.  He sent the puck towards the crease, where Cunningham put it into the net for his second goal of the season.  Norfolk went onto the 3-2 victory.

Anton Khudobin stopped 30 of 33 shots for the P-Bruins, while Dustin Tokarski made 26 saves for the Admirals.  The P-Bruins were 0-for-3 on the power play and 5-for-5 on the penalty kill.
