Back at The Dunk Sunday vs. Springfield

Hershey, PA - The Providence Bruins defeated the Hershey Bears 2-1 Saturday evening at the Giant Center.  The P-Bruins got their goals from Kirk MacDonald and Jamie Arniel.  Providence is back in action at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday at 4:05 p.m. for Hand Sanitizer Night against the Springfield Falcons.

After scoreless first and second periods, Providence got on the board first at the 7:17 mark of the third period.  Sean Zimmerman sent the puck around the boards to Zach Hamill. He found MacDonald in the right faceoff circle, who tallied his third goal of the season. The P-Bruins made it 2-0 at the 8:09 mark.  Matt Bartkowski sent the puck into the zone where it was picked up by Maxime Sauve.  He passed it to Arniel, who slipped it into the net for his 12th goal of the season.  Hershey cut the lead in half at the 12:52 mark.  Andrew Joudrey netted his fifth goal of the season, while Zach Miskovic and Dmitri Kugryshev recorded the assists.  The P-Bruins held on for the 2-1 victory.

Nolan Schaefer stopped 26 of 27 shots for the P-Bruins, while Braden Holtby made 23 saves for the Bears.  The P-Bruins were 0-for-4 on the power play and 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
