P-BRUINS FALL TO MONARCHS 3-0

Back at The Dunk Friday vs. Springfield Falcons

Manchester, NH - The Providence Bruins fell to the Manchester Monarchs 3-0 Saturday evening at the Verizon Wireless Arena.  The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday at 7:05 p.m. for Team Poster Night against the Springfield Falcons.

The Monarchs took a 1-0 advantage at the 15:57 mark of the opening period, while on the power play.  Oscar Moller tallied his 14th goal of the season, with Andrei Loktionov and David Kolomatis recording the assists.  Manchester led 1-0 going into the first intermission.

After a scoreless second period, the Monarchs made it 2-0 at the 14:43 mark of the third period, while on the power play.  Viatcheslav Voynov netted his tenth goal of the season, with Bud Holloway and Gabe Gauthier picking up the assists.  Manchester finished off the scoring at the 19:43 mark with an empty net shorthanded goal.  Trevor Lewis scored his fifth goal of the season, while Marc-Andre Cliche had the lone assists.  The Monarchs went onto the 3-0 victory.

Dany Sabourin stopped 35 of 37 shots for the P-Bruins, while Jonathan Bernier made 21 saves for the Monarchs.  The P-Bruins were 0-for-4 on the power play and 2-for-4 on the penalty kill.
