With the move, the P-Bruins have 28 players on their roster, including 15 forwards, nine defensemen and four goaltenders.

Ryder, 22, is the younger brother of Boston Bruins forward Michael Ryder. He made his pro debut last season, scoring five points (g, 4a) in six contests for Quad City.

Selected by Calgary 74th overall in round three of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Ryder turned pro following a sensational junior career in the Ontario Hockey League with the Peterborough Petes and Plymouth Whalers.
