P-Bruins Return To The Dunk Sunday Versus Hartford
Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins fell to the Albany River Rats 1-0 in a shootout Friday evening at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday for a Family Game versus the Hartford Wolf Pack at 4:05 p.m.
After the game was scoreless in regulation and overtime the game went into a shootout. In round one, Martin St. Pierre scored to give Providence a 1-0 advantage. In the fifth round, Albany tied the game on a goal from Jakub Petruzalek. In round six, the River Rats Harrison Reed netted the game winning shootout goal as Albany went onto the 1-0 victory.
Tuukka Rask stopped all 29 shots in regulation and 4 of 6 shots in a shootout for the P-Bruins, while Justin Peters made 47 saves in regulation and five saves in the shootout for the River Rats. The P-Bruins were 0-for-4 on the power play and 5-for-5 on the penalty kill.
