Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, in their 21st season in the American Hockey League, announced today that they have signed forward Matt Lindblad to an amateur tryout agreement. Per club policy, the financial details of the agreement will not be released.

Lindblad was signed to an entry level contract by the Boston Bruins on April 5. The forward appeared in 30 games for Dartmouth (ECAC) this year and registered 10 goals and 18 assists with two penalty minutes. The forward's 28 points were good for second on the team. The 23-year-old skated in a total of 89 games over three seasons with the Big Green and notched 29 goals and 51 assists for 80 points during that span.

The 6'1'', 200-pound forward is a native of Winnetka, Illinois and attended Dartmouth after two seasons in the United States Hockey League with Sioux Falls and Chicago.

With the Sioux Falls Stampede in 2009-10, Lindblad appeared in 57 games and registered 24 goals and 46 assists with a +11 rating. His 24 goals with the Stampede led the team and his 70 points ranked second.
