2010-11: After a disappointing start (one goal in eight games), Bourque left the KHL and signed with HC Lugano of the NLA in Switzerland where he scored 14 goals and 19 assists in 39 games... Returned to re-sign with Washington on a one-year contract on July 2nd... was assigned to Hershey and led the league in scoring with a career-high 93 points (27 goals, 66 assists) in 73 games...

2009-10: Claimed off waivers by the Pittsburgh Penguins and recorded his first NHL assist on October 28th in a 6-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens... was re-claimed by Washington on December 5th, 2009 and was assigned back to Hershey where he scored 22 goals and 48 assists in 49 regular season games... led the league in playoff scoring with 27 points as Hershey claimed its second successive championship and received the Jack A.
